Travel Soccer FAQs

 
 Where do teams actually travel for games?

Travel games take place all throughout South Jersey going as far north as North Burlington area. Where you will be traveling during the season will be determined by which teams end up in your flight.

 What is a Flight?

Flights are the division that your child's team will play in. They start at flight 1 with the top teams in the league and work up in number as skill level decreases.

 What days are games?

The South Jersey Girls Soccer League (SJGSL) plays on Saturdays. The South Jersey Soccer League (SJSL) plays on Sundays. Any postponed game may be rescheduled any day in which both teams are available to play with league approval.

 
 When does the season start?

The SJGSL fall season starts on Saturday September 5th. The SJSL fall season starts on Sunday September 6th.

 How long is the season?

Each team plays 10 games usually with a bye week somewhere in the middle of the season. The Season lasts from the beginning of September to the middle of November.

 What team will my child be on?

Children will be placed on the age appropriate team

 We aren't from Pennsville can we still play?

You do not have to live in Pennsville to play for Pennsville Soccer. All are welcome.

My age group should my child be in?

Starting with the 2026/27 season, U.S. Soccer, in conjunction with US Youth Soccer, US Club Soccer, and AYSO, is shifting youth soccer age groups from a calendar-year (Jan 1 – Dec 31) to an August 1 – July 31 school-year format. This change aligns teams with school grades, aims to reduce player dropout rates, and affects registration from U7 to U19. You can find more information on the change here.
